The digital module designated as ANSI 51N/51G - Ground Fault Alarm is designed for integration with the Micrologic X trip unit within the MasterPact MTZ series. This advanced module can be uploaded at any point in the product's lifecycle, enabling users to tailor the circuit breaker to specific operational requirements.
Available through the Schneider Electric GoDigital store, the module supports seamless uploads without power interruption, utilizing the EcoStruxure Power Commission software alongside a USB connection. This functionality ensures that both earth-fault and earth-leakage alarms operate independently, each with customizable settings.
The earth-fault alarm meets compliance standards for Micrologic versions 2.0 X, 5.0 X, and 6.0 X, while the earth-leakage alarm is compatible with Micrologic 7.0 X. It is important to note that the firmware of the Micrologic X control unit must be version V002.000.xxx or higher for compatibility; earlier firmware versions require an upgrade.
This digital module enhances early detection of resistive earth-faults, allowing for the identification of fault currents that gradually reach the phase-to-earth-fault protection settings. Consequently, this feature facilitates timely maintenance interventions, optimizing operational efficiency.
