The Print Mark Color Sensor, designated as DFE20/49/124, is designed for precise detection with a range of 9.5 mm ± 2 mm. It utilizes three LEDs to emit visible modulated light in green, red, and blue, focusing through a rectangular light spot measuring 1 mm x 4 mm. The sensor operates effectively within a maximum angle deviation of ± 3°.

For operational reliability, the device is equipped with a yellow function indicator LED that illuminates when a print mark is detected and flashes to signal unsafe operation. Control is facilitated by an external Teach-In button, allowing for user-friendly configuration.

Electrical specifications include an operating voltage range of 10 to 30 V DC, with a ripple of 10% and a no-load supply current not exceeding 55 mA. The sensor features both PNP and NPN outputs, with synchronized-switching capabilities. The PNP output can switch a voltage of at least (+UB - 2.5 V), while the NPN output switches at or below 1.5 V, supporting a maximum switching current of 200 mA and a switching frequency of 1.65 kHz with a response time of 300 µs.

Conforming to EN 60947-5-2 standards, the sensor is rated for ambient temperatures between -20°C and 60°C and can be stored in conditions ranging from -20°C to 75°C.
