The XS4 M12 inductive proximity sensor facilitates the non-contact detection of metallic objects, thus eliminating wear and enabling the detection of delicate or freshly painted surfaces. With a nominal sensing distance of 4mm, this cylindrical sensor is fixed and non-flush mountable, featuring a diameter of 12mm and a threaded length of 29mm. It operates within a voltage range of 12 to 24 VDC and supports both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) functions via a PNP discrete output.

Constructed from durable PPS material, this sensor is encapsulated for enhanced protection, rated at IP67 in conformity with IEC 60529 standards. The device includes a male M12 connector with four pins, and its design ensures reliable performance even in harsh industrial environments, withstanding vibrations up to 25 gn and shocks of 50 gn.
