Lifecycle Status:

The XS9 inductive proximity sensor offers a detection capability for metal objects up to 60mm without direct contact. It utilizes an oscillating electromagnetic field to identify any metallic object that enters its sensing area. This general-purpose sensor is encapsulated in a cubic plastic case measuring 40 x 40 x 117mm and is designed for non-flush mounting.

With a nominal sensing distance of 20mm, the XS9 supports a dual output configuration comprising one normally open and one normally closed PNP output. It operates within a temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is built to withstand harsh environments, conforming to IP65, IP67, and IP69K protection standards. This sensor is especially suitable for applications such as welding machines, characterized by its factor 1 (Fe/Nfe) detection capability.

Its electrical connection features screw-clamp terminals, and it consumes a maximum current of 30 mA under no-load conditions. The sensor has a switching frequency of up to 250Hz and is equipped with LED indicators to signal power and output state. It is compliant with UL and CSA certifications, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.
