The Class 5000 Smart Meters, designated as H50, provide advanced dual protocol communications, allowing for concurrent interaction with two energy monitoring systems. This capability includes compatibility with Building Automation Systems (BAS) for energy monitoring and billing, as well as Measurement and Verification (M&V) reporting tools.

Equipped with a 4-line LCD display that features backlighting, the device supports RS485 and Ethernet communication protocols. It operates under a maximum ambient temperature of 122 °F (50 °C) and a minimum of -4 °F (-20 °C), with an impressive humidity tolerance of up to 95% non-condensing. The meter is compliant with ANSI C12.20 and CE standards.

This fully electronic meter is suitable for commercial and industrial applications, offering an accuracy of ±1% across 1% to 100% of its rated load. The Class 5000 supports both single-phase and two-phase configurations (two elements) and handles input voltages in a 3 or 4 wire setup. Its split-core current sensors are not included, aligning with its design for flexible integration into existing systems.
