Lifecycle Status:
The Schneider Electric TeSys GV motor circuit breaker is a 3-phase (3P) device designed to protect motors with a power range of 37-55kW at 400V. This multifunction circuit breaker, UL489 compliant, offers thermal magnetic protection and advanced motor protection. It has a breaking capacity of Icu 50kA at 400V, allowing for start-stop control via a toggle switch and connection through Everlink BTR screw terminals.
The thermal protection can be adjusted by dials with a setting current Ir ranging from 65 to 115A. It also features a selectable tripping class of either 10 or 20, rated at 125% of the tripping current. The magnetic protection is set at 17 In.
This circuit breaker offers advanced protections that can be adjusted using a smartphone via wireless NFC. These include short time delay protection Isd with a setting range of 5-13 Ir, phase unbalance and loss protection, ground fault protection, locked rotor (jam), long start. It also has internal locations available for additional auxiliary contact blocks (OF, SD) and voltage trip units (MN, MX).
The circuit breaker can be equipped externally with 1 or 2 auxiliary SDx modules for alarming and fault differentiation. It is multi-standard certified (IEC, UL 489, CSA C22.2 N°5), Green Premium compliant (RoHS/REACh).
