Lifecycle Status:
The Schneider Electric TeSys GV4 motor circuit breaker is a 3-phase device designed for the protection of motors with power ratings from 22 to 37 kW at 400V. It offers thermal magnetic protection and advanced motor protection, with a breaking capacity of Icu 25kA at 400V. The circuit breaker can be controlled by a toggle switch for start-stop operations and is equipped with Everlink BTR screw terminals for easy connection.
The thermal protection is adjustable by dials with a setting current Ir in the range of 40-80A and a selectable tripping class of 10 or 20. The magnetic protection is set at 17 In. Advanced protections include short time delay protection Isd with a setting range of 5-13 Ir, phase unbalance and loss protection, ground fault protection, locked rotor (jam), and long start.
The circuit breaker also features internal locations for additional auxiliary contact blocks (OF, SD) and voltage trip units (MN, MX). It can be equipped externally with 1 or 2 auxiliary SDx modules for alarming and fault differentiation. The TeSys GV4 is multi-standard certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine, ATEX), Green Premium compliant (RoHS/REACh).
