Product Description
This butterfly valve features a 3-way configuration and is designed for high-performance in both chilled and hot water systems, including cooling towers. It is compatible with two-position steam applications at pressures up to 50 psi. The valve has a nominal pipe size of 2.5 inches and operates with a modulating control signal, categorized under Designation Code CL150.
Constructed with a carbon steel body and 316 stainless steel disc, it offers a maximum media temperature of 400 °F (204 °C) and a minimum operating temperature of -22 °F (-30 °C). The valve seat is made of RTFE, ensuring durability in various applications. It is equipped with a fail-in-place actuator (NEMA 2 IP54), which maintains functionality even in the event of a power failure.
Notably, this valve has a flow characteristic that is modified linear and unidirectional, with a flow coefficient of 80 CV (69 Kvs). The maximum differential pressure rating is 150 psi (1034 kPa), and it has a leakage rate of 0%. The valve is not suitable for use with fuels or modulating steam, and it is designed for specific media control including on/off steam control and chilled or hot water applications with up to 60% glycol.
