The TeSys island bus coupler operates as a critical interface between a group of starters and an automation controller over EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP. This device is designed to manage the complete configuration of the TeSys island, which can include up to 20 modules. It is powered externally by 24V DC and features two RJ45 ports for EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP communication, along with one RJ45 service port and a micro SD card port to facilitate diagnostics and maintenance through an embedded web server (OMT).
With an operating ambient temperature range of -10 to 60 °C and a storage temperature range of -25 to 70 °C, the bus coupler is built to withstand various environmental conditions. It is mounted on a 35 mm symmetrical rail, occupying the leftmost position in the TeSys island configuration. The device is certified under multiple standards, including IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, and EAC, and meets cybersecurity requirements with Achilles Level 2 certification. Additionally, it aligns with Green Premium compliance, ensuring it is free of hazardous substances.
